Anduril's $20B Army vehicle puts Lattice at the center of C-UAS
The Army's Anduril enterprise deal and an $87M Lattice task order aimed to unify counter-drone command and control.
In mid March, the Army awarded Anduril a firm-fixed-price enterprise vehicle worth up to $20 billion over about ten years to consolidate commercial Lattice software, hardware, data, and support. Breaking Defense and DefenseScoop reported an initial $87 million task order selecting Lattice as tactical C2 for Joint Interagency Task Force 401 counter-drone work.
## Why it matters Counter-UAS fails when every site runs a different spaghetti of sensors and shooters. A common backbone that can swap effectors is how you scale defense against cheap drones.
Anduril's bet is open-architecture speed. The Army's bet is fewer one-off contracts and faster on-ramps. Both only work if competition remains real on the hardware at the edge.
